I have a 66-8 that I purchased new about a year and a half ago. I have about 4 thousand rounds through it and the cylinder has just begun to turn a little more sluggishly than usual. I usually put a drop of oil where the cylinder meets the gas ring when I clean it, but I'd like to remove the ejector rod and clean inside the cylinder and re lube it. This new design doesn't use the old style ejector rod that locks against a detent under the barrel and is hollow. It appears to be similar to what is used in the X frame guns, but I'm not certain and I can't find anything that shows how to take it apart. Just wondering if anyone has any experience taking one of the apart. Thanks.

It's most likely that all you need to do is pull the crane and cylinder, then slide the cylinder off the crane and clean the barrel that is the axle for the cylinder, and the hole it goes into. I spray them down with brake parts cleaner, blow dry, and lubricate with a light oil.
