I am in need of information on how to remove the grips from my model 669. I have a set of aftermarket pachmyers on it I want to replace with the original style grips. Can anyone offer instructions please.

Thanks

Remove the magazine, rack the slide and clear the chamber. Check it again. Lower the hammer. Lay the pistol on it's side and use a proper size punch to push the pin out in the bottom of the backstrap. The backstrap slides down and out, and engages the rear edges of the stock panels to secure them.

I took my 469 to my favorite gunsmith and he put them on for free. He had to do some modification to the mounting surfaces of the grips in order to get them to stay on. He charged me 0 for the service. Yours may do the same. It took a few minutes for this process and I'm glad I didn't attempt it myself even though I'm comfortable with my pistols mechanically. It was kind of a pain because my Pachmyrs weren't apparently made to exactly fit easily. The little mounting ears were not as sharp as they should have been for a good hold on the frame. He had to file them sharper so they would hold the grip frame and not bow out especially the left side by the mag release button.
BTW - They do add considerable girth to the grip feel of the weapon compared to the stock ones. I am happy with them, but it took some getting used to the new feel. Good luck.
