My best friend has a Mod. 67-1 he bought new. It is a safe queen, never fired since the factory. It's mint condition, all original. Does not have the box, papers, nor SAT. He's offered to sell it to me. What is a fair price if he listed it online for sale? I'd like him to know what it's worth and then decide if it's worth that much to me.

I tried to delete this post and put it in '61 to '80 subforum.

Thanks.

I'd appraise it at $700 retail and offer $600 cash on a private sale. No fuss or bother for him, good deal for you. I carried the blue Model 15 as a USAF officer, and bought a Model 67 4" to replace it for personal use. Superbly accurate and durable, can handle +P 158 grain all you can stand to shoot. With standard +38 loads, perfect for IDPA.

Nice gun. $500-$600 would be my offer. You say unfired outside the factory? Look for burn rings on front of cylinder on just 3 of the charge holes - from factory proof firing. They didn’t clean the front of cylinder before shipping.

I bought one from a local dealer a couple of months ago for $450.00. It wasn't NIB condition, no box or papers, but it hadn't been hurt at all. It is a -1 and was originally tagged at $500.00.

Great shooter with 148 grain wadcutters, standard load of Bullseye. I don't think I've ever fired anything else in it.

Thanks all for the responses. My friend told me his rock bottom price, which included a Mod 657-0. I was going to list them here in the classifieds. But it was too good a deal for me to pass. When I told him I'd take the deal, he tried to drop the price another hundred. I refused the discount because it was already a great deal. So he threw in six 38 spl cartridges. Lol
