686-2 4" value

Hi,
I bought my 686-2 in the mid 1980s, I think. I might have a box of .38 specials through it, it is 99% and like new with the box and papers.
Serial # BAS4709
What is the age and approximate value?

Late winter to early spring of 1988 seems likely for its production, but if you tell us the Special Order code on the box label we can let you know. Bet it starts with the number 8.

Prices are crazy right now and I wouldn't be surprised if it would go for $800-1000.

I agree. That used to be $500 to $600 gun, but now I see them bring $800 and sometimes MORE at the local shows here in Texas.
