686-3 Midnight Black

Few weeks ago I found this 686-3 Midnight Black 4 inch on a local forum. I did not have to think twice. No box or papers. It was a PD trade in and if it was issued it saw little use. I received my S&W letter today. I took it to the range and it shoots nice with 357 mag loads.

I have that exact model. Haven't shot it yet... but I found it on this forum. Beautiful guns.

Roy doesn't mention it in his letter, but the product code for the 4-inch blacken stainless M686 was 104250. From what I've seen the 6-inch version was more common by at least three to one.
