686-4, 6" Baby has a new home, shoes and overcoat.

Found a very nice 686-4, 6" on GB, made a bid and, to my surprise, I took it home. Excellent lock up, no end shake and perfect timing. Only thing not to my liking was the "rubber" grips.

So, thanks to some new shoes from forum member Masterbuck54 and a new custom holster from forum member 05CarbonDRZ, my baby now looks as good as she feels!

NICE. I get mine tomorrow and first order of business is getting rid of the ugly rubber grips. I can't tell but is the -4 model the Square Butt or Round? I like those Grips, are they factory S&W?

28, nice rig. The basket weave tooling is classy.

RZ, most 6-shot -4 are round butts, but a some were made square. Maybe, 10-15%. The 7-shot -4's are all round.

RubenZ, yes they are factory grips. Mine is a 6 shot, 6" square butt.

Nice looking gun. The wood grips look great on it.

When I go shooting though I like the feel of the Hogues a lot better (and I shoot better as well). I have a lot of nice factory wood grips in gun boxes until I want to show them off.

For .44 Mag and anything larger, I totally agree with you. But, for .357, I sure do like the Targets. To me, they look great and feel just right.
