686-6 hand issue

What causes the hand to drag against the cartridge rim? This is on a 686+ and rubs on all chambered cartridges. Curious if others have had this problem and what the resolve was.
 
I had that issue with a 686+Pro. With the cylinder swung out, cock the pistol (you'll have to pull the cylinder latch back to do that) and take a look at the hand. It's probably not flush with the recoil shield. Fixing it on mine took about 15 or 20 minutes with a diamond file. They sound expensive but a set of them ran me less than twenty bucks. I should add that you'll have to pull the sideplate to secure the hand or it will just push in when you try to file it.

Your right, it does set out. I compared it to my m60, which is flush. Thanks for the info!
