Anyone else have a 686 binding up when you cock it and sent it back in for repair? What did they do and is it better after repair? My sights were canted and DA was very hard. If you cock it in SA it would get so hard to cock after about 3 pills you could just barely pull hammer back. I've never seen so many problems go through a QC department before. It was a major disappointment because I traded my gp 100 in on it and thought I was getting an upgrade but if it's right when it gets back maybe it will be.

Oreo, No Guarantees, but S&W will likely get it fixed after only one trip back. FWIW, my luck kinda went the other way. I bought a new GP100 a couple years ago. It had issues. After two trips back to Ruger, they contacted me and asked to replace it. The GP100 and 686 are both excellent revolvers IMHO, but stuff sometimes happens..

Had the same problem with a new model 629. My gunsmith looked at it and saw the primer bushing wasn't quite flush which would allow primers to back out just enough to cause jamming. I sent it back to the factory. All the repair report from S&W said was "repaired yoke". It only about 3 weeks to get it back.
