Thanks. I checked the trigger pull again at home where I could get a better 'controlled' hold on it (the 10-5) and it averaged 4#-4oz. over 10 pulls.
I called Smith Cust. Service....the 637-2 was made and shipped in 2002. Apparently, MIM parts (hammer/trigger) can be made to appear CCH. The trigger pull on the 637 was 7ish # DA and just over 2# SA.
The Rem. R1 Enhanced measured 3# average.
BTW, the 'negotiation' went in my favor...hence, I also ended up with the 'unintended' 637-2!
