686 model differences

I know, I know I searched but the search comes up lame as always. I have the oppurtuntity to pick up a 4" 686-3, can someone give me a rundown on the basic differences between models?

IMHO the -3 is the pick of the bunch...

The -3 was made from 1988 to '93, had a "new yoke retention system" (I guess compared to the -2). It has the upgraded hammer nose bushing that the plain and -1 did not have, so no worries about sending it back for the "M" update.
