I've been looking for a pre lock 686 snub. I found one on gunbroker and the seller after 5 emails over 7 days is not returning any emails. So a few questions
Is this model up for sale a good deal and does AnyOne here k ow this seller!? Should I walk away!?

Well I wouldn't be very happy that he didn't respond to my emails but he does have good feedback with most buyers are saying the gun was better then described when they received it so it's up to you.

I was just hoping someone here knew this guy!... I'll shop elsewhere I guess. It made me wonder...

Just a thought here, no dog in the hunt so to speak, but I do buy a lot through GB.

Don't take it personally if a seller doesn't respond in a timely manner before a sale. Several things can influence this and while it's aggravating (hey, they do have the "ask the seller a question" feature), imo the true method for me determining if I buy or not is feedback.

Less than 20...hairs on the back of the neck.

More than 20, and folks are A+++ rated by every seller...as long as they contact me afterward, I'm probably good to go.

Maybe I've just been lucky so far, but it's hard to fake good feedback and gun buyers are a picky bunch in general.

Just my .02.

Giving the seller the benefit of the doubt, he could be out of town or some other valid reason.

Also, he may be getting 100 emails a day & just can't respond. If you have a specific "deal breaker" question to ask & don't get a response, I would walk away. However, if your questions are more general in scope, I'd consider a bid.

I bought a revolver on GB and before I bought it I could not get a hold of the seller. The seller had a very good rating.
I received the revolver, and then found out why he did not respond. He apologized for not getting back to me. He was really sick and he even called me and he sounded really terrible. I could hardly understand him. He had spent 3 or 4 days in the hospital.
I am glad I went ahead with the purchase.
