Bodyguard 2.0 shooting left and low out of box

So, I like the little bug pistol form factor so well I bought 4, one for each of us. I took them out yesterday to do an initial break in (50 rounds each)....they shoot amazingly well for such a small pistol, no snap and easy follow-up shots. But all of them shoot to the left. Is this my mechanics and lack of practice or are they prone to shoot like that?

Anyone else notice anything?

BTW - I only had two problems with one pistol regarding feeding. First magazine shooting Hornady Critical Defense I had two misfeeds. After that magazine they were all flawless. I shot 3 types of hollow point mixed with FMJ.

My daughters and wife love the size and will carry much more frequently, but they will have to practice more than they do with the P365X I think.

The BG 2 is a 7 yard and in gun, which is fine because they will carry these.
Took mine out and shot a variety of ammunition. No problems. First issue was the follower in the 12 round magazine had a tail that had to be trimmed. After putting in 2 rounds, the follower tail caught in the mag slot. Problem 2 required polishing the barrel feed ramp. After polishing, the pistol fed Cor Bon hollow points and other brands of ammo. Third issue was the spring on the operating rod. S&W complaint resulted in the customer contact advising to buy and aftermarket guide rod assembly. I did and it works. Last issue is that the pistol shoots and decent group but Have a sight drift tool to drift the rear sight abut the elevation issue will remain. Looking at either a red dot installation or waiting for some new sights to be developed with elevation adjustment.

Installed a Bodyguard 1.0 rear sight, old View attachment 769609 new View attachment 769611 View attachment 769612 the original was a real bear to get off. I had to use a steel punch and a 2 pound dead blow hammer to get the thing off. I was able to install the 1.0 with a brass punch.

Sighting in was 100 rounds CCI Blazer Brass 95 gr FMJ. and 25 rounds Sellier & Bellot XRG 77 gr.

Reflects my experience, and I'm using the BG1.0 rear. Realigning the sights helps the 'shooting left' business, and the vast opening of the OEM rear makes it too easy to bury the front sight, low, in the notch. The tighter BG1.0 notch helps solve that issue; mine now shoots POA.
Two real questions; why didn't Smith use the older gun's rear sight, and where can other shooters get the 1.0 rear.
Nice shooting, oldbbb. (y)
