It has been a great shooter for me. Mine has the ball detent installed, I am not sure if this was done at the factory. I bought the gun used.

My custom 686 previously owned by Charlie Sheen

Here is a Model 686 done for actor Charlie Sheen by Kings Customs Gun Works, California, back in 1989.
The gun is DA only, has custom sights, a polished trigger with stop, and has a powerport made out of/from the barrel which was originally a 4" barrel redone/reshaped to a 3" barrel.
The gun was purchased from a gun shop in LA.
