I am pretty proud of my pro series revolver after all these years. I put thousands upon thousands of rounds through it and regular carry in all types of weather. Even an entire summer of sitting in my closet while I was away for recovery. The only thing I had done to the revolver is a custom firing pin. I had some problems with mag tech ammunition. But I haven’t had that problem since. This revolver is as graceful as a saber. It’s also showing it’s age in a good way. You can see where the holster rubs it and my finger smoothed out the trigger face.
This was even going to be my service revolver when I had plans for being a police officer. If I have children. This gun is going to them. It was expensive when I ordered it. But it was definitely worth it.
Edit: it’s not that old and still pretty new. But I seen guns at the range that are modern and only a few years old that look like hell.

I picked mine at a gun show very close to new with box and papers. Really like this one! Since pics have added F.O. front sight. Going to hang onto this 1! Bob

Hang on to it.

Looks good to me. Normal wear is fine; just shows that it is a user. Nice stocks also.

Herrets stocks. It’s a custom roper stocks.

686 got to be the best S&W revolver on the market. L frame aren’t to big but not to small too. I thought about buying a new python. But I’m not to certain it would be a upgrade.

I think I probably shoot my 686 plus pro more than any of my other revolvers. The size and barrel length make it just right for me. Fits and points perfect. I am running a Vortex red dot and Hogue finger grove rubber mono grips.
