My S&W 686 Stock Service Revolver came home today!
Let me just say this puppy shoots well. At ten yards 38 specials always hit the red. For an amateur shooter like me, I was pretty impressed. The recoil was almost nothing from the 38s.
I'm not used to the Magnums yet but they are pretty accurate too. Kind of obnoxious to shoot for a little guy like me, though. I'll be sticking to .38s unless I'm fighting bears.
This thing is big. It's a whole L-frame revolver. It is a 686-6 with a custom barrel. In person the new barrel looks a lot less boxy than in the side-profile pictures.
I am not used to revolvers. The extractor pin jammed on me and I lost my cool- thought I'd broke my gun on like the second load. The gunsmith repaired it for me real quick by tightening it up.
Sorry about the crappy quality. I'll update more photos later with a better camera. I'll gladly take requests for angles and shots, since there's hardly any pics of this model online.
What do you guys think? She's beautiful, isn't she???
