686 value?

I am looking at a S&W 686, 357,pre lock, ss, 4" barrel and was wondering what the value is. It looks like it's in great condition.

Local gun store has a couple of nice ones, both are marked $499.

I recently bought a 4" 686 with RR/WO sights in excellent condition for $499 on GunsAmerica, but I think $550 is still a fair price for a gun like that. In the last 30 days, I've also bought a like-new 6" 686 for $450 but I paid $600 for a 6" PowerPort 686 that appears to be unfired. Both of those guns were on GunBroker.

I paid $590 for a NIB 686 a few months back.

A lot of it depends upon how important the -4 attributes are to you.

I should also add, always check Buds Guns for a very solid if not great price. It's a good barometer to see if your price is a good one.
