Picked up a 6306 LE trade in today ,What I got with it was 2-12Rd mags 2-10Rd mags a DeSantis leather OWB holster and a Double mag holster,For this I Paid $475.00 ,keep in mind I'm in Mass and the High capacity guns seem to always costr more here. The condition is very good with a little holster wear,The night sights are past due( Bearly glowing) so They will need to be replaced.
Took it to the range fired 100 rds of winchester white box without a hiccup.Did I get a decent deal? Thoughts? ALSO what type of sights are available for this gun? I'd like 3 dot style like my M&P?

This time last year I got a anib 6906 w/ one mag for $325. The month before I found a 6904 anib w/ 2 mags ..... for $265. First one's I'd seen in a LGS for sale in at least 5 years....................

Now this was in the middle of the S&W sale on the Shield single stack 9mm and the LGS did not figure the old but anib 3rd guns would move fast................

Subtract the price of the leather and extra mags ( IIRC the 10rd mags are a good thing in Mass.) add back in the Mass. premium and ....you be the judge of if you got a good deal.

I paid $425 for a mint 6904 in late 2015. I'd say I got a very good deal on that. So $475 is maybe a tad high, for a trade in? But, as long as it's not beat up, I'd say it's not too bad... esp. if the market is a little different in MA.

As far as the price of gund with high capacity mags go it is crazy here,You can't buy a Glock unless it is early Gen 3 and at the FFL's around my area you'd pay 700-900 for a glock 19 gen 2 with pre ban mags its insane.we are heldto 10rd mags on anything new,so the high capacity stuff is like gold

As far as sights for the 6306 any ideas?

Brownells currently has the factory 3-dot sights available (assuming the slide has a Novak rear cut).

107920000 REAR SIGHT - NOVAK
109070000 FRONT SIGHT .204

It is also possible that the night sights could be re-lamped by Trijicon for $57.

If the sights are Trijicons they will relamp them for $53.00 a set, just go on the web page and look under services. I just had my 6906 revamped you send in the slide and they do everything else.

Prices, even in MA, are all over the place. Four Seasons had one a few weeks ago with two standard capacity* magazines for $399.99. I think it lasted almost 24 hours before someone snagged it.

I saw one listed on another forum for $550.00 with six standard capacity* magazines.

The number of magazines in the deal affects the price, especially if they are standard capacity* magazines.

Overall, I think you did fine.

* I refuse to use the false term "high capacity" for magazines when said magazines were what the gun was originally designed to use. There are "standard capacity" and "low capacity" magazines.

I paid $300 on Gunbroker for a police surplus 6906 (had department initials and rack number on it) about 8 months ago. (Have to add $25 ship, $25 FFL and $30 tax here in WA state for an OTD of $380.) Don't recall how many mags...but certainly no more than 2. No holster or mag holster.

I looked for a while though and it probably took 2 or 3 months to find the deal.

I don't think the old sights are Trijicon's the only marking I see is on the front sight MH3 stamped on the foot, someone mentioned putting Novak sights on it which I'd like,Brownells has some but how do you tell if the rear sight is cut to fit Novak's?
