Got one about 2 weeks ago. Very clean, no scratches or gouges and shoots great.

got mine today , some light holster wear and very slight scratches . was well worth the money.

Sam, what is the typical turn around time for their orders? I am looking at one and saw they had killer deals on them.

Cole Dist. on Gunbroker has those same models and others for less $$.

mine was ordered on a Thursday afternoon and arrived on the next Tuesday.

I just put in an order for 2 5906's yesterday so I hope the quality is still good to verry good :)...anyone have a range report yet? I'm going to be loading up some 125grn lead loads for these this weekend.

Got one

I got one a couple of weeks ago and it seems fine, although I am a very inexperienced judge. Slide doesn't rattle around, no big scars, reasonably clean. I don't know how worn the barrel is since I don't know what a new one looks like, but it seems ok to me. I put 50 rounds ea of Tula and Federal FMJ, and Remington HP through it, and it functioned perfectly.

They had two grades for two prices: "good to very good" and "excellent" for $40 more. I just went with the lower priced one,

I shoot it about 8 in low and left at 15 yds, but the "grouping" is pretty big, due to the shooter, no doubt. :)

The only problem I had was one of the two mags seemed to like to stick when loading the 4th cartridge. I think one of the "legs" on the plastic follower might be hanging on a cutout in the body of the magazine, so if anyone has any tips on how to avoid that I'm interested.

jtoddbridgges,

You can replace the follower with a new one for a modest cost -- check with Midway or other suppliers. Might be worth going with new springs, too, also relatively low in cost.

I just bought a used 6906 from Bud's Guns and intend to check the mags pretty thoroughly and if they have any problems will replace the innards; plus expect to replace the main recoil spring. Probably a good idea with any used pistol of dubious levels of usage, and very low in cost overall (compared to other things in this hobby!).

Good luck with yours and hope you enjoy it!

Called and talked to Ken yesterday. Really nice guy. Going with the VG-E grade. Now to find my FFL contact.

Did you find the FFL list on gunbroker? I found FFL's right around the corner who I didn't know existed.

Also, I didn't notice where you purchased, but if it was CDNN, they have an extensive file of FFL's and if they already have them in their file there's no need to send a copy to them.

You'll enjoy the 6906.
