You can drift the rear sight a little to the right, to correct your POI that's to the left.
As for shooting low: S&W semiautos have sights that are set to shoot to directly to point of aim. Many people are used to aiming at the bottom of a small bull's eye to get impact at the X ring.
S&W semiautos would hit at the 6 O'clock area: right where the pistol is aimed.
I got used to it when I first bought a Model 59, over 30 years ago.
Most military and police semiautos are set to hit as close as possible to point of aim.
If your pistol is shooting below the point of aim, using heavier bullets (124 or 147 in 9mm, for example) can raise the point of impact somewhat.
