I'm having problems with shells sticking in the barrel of my 745. It's a Bar-sto barrel. They all pass my Dillon case gage and they work fine in the factory barrel but they jam in the
Bar-sto. Not every one but enough to be annoying. It seems to have just started - any thoughts. Are Bar-sto's tighter?

I recall reading that Barstow offered their aftermarket barrels with "match" chambers. It may indeed be tighter than standard.

If extraction was reliable before and this suddenly started, I would check the extractor spring tension, and the source of your brass or ammunition.

Jeff:
Did you buy that gun off of me? I sold a 745 w/a Barsto barrel a year or so ago to someone who had posted a "want to buy" ad. Factory ammunition was fine, but with the Barsto I had occasional problems with my lead bullet reloads. I bought the Lee Factory crimp dye and everything was fine after that.

It probably was me. Are you in PA?
I had not shot it for a while and was not using the FCD (I broke it a while ago by getting it too close to the shell holder.)

I have since pulled the primer punch out of an old Lee carbide sizing die and am using it as an FCD to iron out the shells after loading lead - until I can get a new FCD. The reloads work fine after this post sizing.

If anyone has a .45 acp FCD for sale let me know.
