That's a beautiful piece, a few details would be nice.

Well, I don't have much info, but here is what I have:

It was manufactured in 2010. I bought it less than two years ago and it came with the box, papers, and test fired shell -- but no moon clips. I have since gotten some moon clips for it.

It was from the era when Performance Center guns still used forged parts, because the trigger has the solid back rather than the hollow MIM version that I have seen on some PC guns made more recently.

It does have the internal lock, though.

It weighs just under 38 oz empty, and has a 2 5/8" barrel.

The grip on it is the original. I don't have a picture, but most of the time I shoot it with an Ahrends grip that is just a bit larger and has room for three fingers.

It's very accurate, and the weight absorbs much of the recoil.

I don't carry it as it's not listed on my license. I may list it as one of my three carry guns when I renew my license later this year -- if I can figure out a way to conceal it well.

Thank You!

So do the Bangers 27-7s not have the S&W logo roll markings on the sideplate and no Performance Center markings? Or is that not a 27-7?
The two runs from Bangers in 2000 were both Performance Center firearms. Product codes 170166 and 170167

Why do you think otherwise? Is yours missing the logo?

If you do not already own one, you should order a copy of the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson. This book has lots of information in it.

The 4th Edition should be shipping in a few months

I thought they were PC guns, mine is a Lew Horton and has the PC logo on the left side under the cylinder release and it has a nice big S&W on the sideplate. The 4 inch above doesn't look like it has the S&W on the sideplate, making me wonder whats on the left side of a 27-7 (besides no lock). :)
Just the PC logo

The Lew Horton Registered Magnums with their dual logos are the oddballs.

Traditionally the PC logo replaces the S&W logo on a Performance Center firearm
