I hope to get my 845 this week and I need to know if the mags are special to the 845 or will other S&W mags work?

Do not know how I got an angry icon on my post? I need to post more so I don't do things like that.

I thought you were angry because it uses mags from other guns :P

I would look for newer black follower mags. they have stronger factory springs and better feed lip design.

not sure if you 845 has been sitting for a while, make sure you give it a good oil bath and check or replace all springs with fresh.

I bought a NIB 4516-2 (yearssss ago) that sat on somebodies shelf for many years. my first shot broke the mag release spring (rusty inside) and the button turned out and when I went to depress for a mag change, the button was gone. I think I lost the detent too.

the spring had gotten rusty over time and the shock of recoil fatigued it.

SW CQB 45: Thanks for the advise. The 845 I am geting is of corse used but very well cared fore and has a very low round count. I tried to buy this gun some time back but the seller kept going up so I walked away. Yesterday he said he would take my first offer. If he dose not back out, I will try to post pics when I get the gun. A 845 in 99% condition with box and docs is hard to find. Wish me luck. thanks ragman.
