I was in the process of making a holster for a 908 using my 3913NL as a mold when I realized that the 908 doesn't have the slanted dust cover that my NL does. Ooops.
I'm having problems finding a blue gun mold for the 908. Are there other 3rd gen Smiths that have the same shape as the 908 that I can use instead?

The 908 is similar in shape to the 6906 with the difference in the grip being thicker for double stack magazine. But for a holster it should work.

The 6906, with the square trigger guard, shouldn't fit the same holsters as the others, should it?

No, I don't think it will. Also, the frames on the 6906 and 6946 are thicker beginning below the ejection port, so they won't work to provide a well fitted holster for the 908 either.

The 908 has a squarer slide than a 3913 so a 3913 may fit a holster for a 908 but not the other way around.
Just something to keep in mind.

I'm glad you pointed that out. My Shield fits my holsters for my 39-2, but the 908 that I looked at didn't. This explains that, although I had read that the 908 was just an economy version of the 3913/14.
