I've grown quite fond of this hybrid.

Great shooter, only thing that could be better is if it were DAO.

It's a 910 slide. The 910 is the value line equivalent of the 5906 just as the 908 is the value line equivalent of the 3913. One of the nicer aspects of the value line pistols is that they are still available and are a lot less expensive to tinker with than the other 3rd gens.

My normal carry Smith is a 4556 with a factory fitted 4586 slide on it. Perfect balance.
