I own a S&W 986 revolver 9mm Pro Series 5” barrel. Does S& W make a cylinder for this weapon that is not cut for moon clips?

I have one also, one of my few S/W disappointments. I always wanted a 9mm revolver target type gun to shoot up 9mm ammo as a fun gun. Have a 625 so expected the same type set up on this gun. Nope, the guns are really some overrun or after though after a European order for a 9X21 revolver. Drop a 9mm in the cylinder and it disappears. So I have never been able to get the accuracy I expected out of the gun, no matter what 9mm I shoot out of it. I don't reload and don't plan to for this gun. It goes 2-2.5 inches at 25 so I shoot it on steel and its fine . I like the looks and action of the gun. Just expected it to be what was advertised a 9mm not a 9X21 that you can shoot 9mm out of. Maybe one day I might get some 9X21 and see if that is more accurate, just to try it but that wasn't the point of buying this gun. I wonder if the 929s are actually 9mms and shoot any better .

Funny just read an entry under a 547 thread, where the owner states his 4" 547 shoots better than his 986.

Not sure if they make them for a 986 or not, but RIMZ Poly Moon Clips are easy to use and require no tools. I use them my 625JM, .45. Bob

Probably the most disappointing S&W I ever bought. It had ejection problems, (sticky). Polished the chambers didn't fix. I used the ranch product clips from Midway. I really liked the thought of the gun, but I got disappointed every time I shot it, I sold it after only about a year. Had made a special arbor for my loading tool for this.
