When I drive my car and I see someone veering from lane to lane, I say out loud to my passengers, "pick a lane and stick to it." When I bought my M & P 9c I recieved one magazine with the "pinky" extension and one with the flat floorplate. I very much prefer the magazine with the extension, but I could probably get used to either style- moving from one style to the next is a distraction. S & W needs to "pick a lane and stick to it." I can't find any new magazines anywhere in either style (10 round California limit which translates to 9+1), even when I check out the sites offered in this forum. A note of caution: I bought just the floorplate to the magazine, but the lip on the magazine didn't match the lip on the floorplate. Otherwise, I really like this weapon.

Had to send mine back after I purchased it in October for some work. I requested the pinky extension to replace it but S&W sent me an extra pinky extended mag. I use it for range shooting, but when I'm carrying I use the one with the flat floor plate. Its more comfortable with the way I carry (3 to 4 o'clock). However I have the 12 round mags.

Both have their uses. The one without the finger extension conceals a bit easier, while the finger extension makes it easier to hold for most people. Choice is good. You pick what you like and you stick with it.

Depends on who you talk to. They told me I had to buy five.

That's when you hang up and call back to speak to someone else. Many people here have had free ones shipped to them just by asking. I have yet (except for your case) to hear about anyone who called and did not get one shipped for free.

The 9mm 10rd mag takes a different basepad then the 12rd. Sounds like you have a 12rd finger rest basepad. If you call S&W be sure to tell them it's for the 9mm 10rd mag.

Wow, I could not disagree more. But perhaps you meant that tongue in cheek. What I love most about the 9c is the options it gives you: flat floor plate, extension, 17 rounder. It's all good!:D

Don't even have to call, just email them with your address and magazine type and and they will send you one.

Thanks again southchatham, received email back from them yesterday and one is on the way no charge!!. Thanks to S&W also!
