I dont think I would try - as I recall there is quite a bit of difference in width - at best it would be really sloppy.

Which pistol - wide hood barrels are still available for some pistols - or maybe someone with an extra barrel might trade.

I've never done it, but I have seen it done and it does work, but I don't know about the long term implications or accuracy.

I think its an old 908 barrel I had ,It fit my 4040pd perfectly with the exception of the hood ,thinking about chamber to 357 sig ,just to see if it works

M4040 uses the 40 barrel bushing (larger) and the M908 uses the 9mm barrel bushing (smaller).

The barrel may fit in the slide, but the belled end of the barrel will just rattle around inside the bushing at the front.

Accuracy would be nonexistent and something could be damaged.
