I was wondering if a suitably adjusted 9MM die can be used to seat bullets in 380 cartridges?

Tried it, it does not work. 9mm is a different case and the 380 is too short for a crimp. The sizer does not work either.

That said, for seating ONlY you should be fine with a 9mm die as long as you can screw it in far enough to get the OAL you want.

I have accidentally gotten a .380 case into a loading session of 9mm, and I did load the.380 case successfully, including seating the bullet TO 9MM DEPTH.

Did not try to chamber or fire it in a .380, since it was oversized and overloaded to 9mm pressure.

I did some looking around and have noticed that Lee offers a seating die that purportedly will work with 9mm,380 38Super etc. Does anyone have any experience with this?
