I've shot Winchester White Box 115 JHP. Still got a box of the same thing in 147g. Good stuff.

I use 115gr Winchester Silvertip in my 9mm carbine.

Not a fan of it out of pistols but works well in the longer barrel carbine. It’s also cheaper.

115 grain 9mm JHP are still being made. The current ammo shortage coupled with the heavier 9mm bullets (124 grain and 147 grain) becoming more popular doesn't help either.

30 years ago I'd say the "standard" 9mm was 115 grain - now I'd have to say it's the 124 grain. Personally, I believe the 124 is superior in almost every situation and firearm.

Your best bet is to buy whatever you can find ...anything beats nothing .

I just did an internet search and found plenty of 115 JHP in stock and availble for shipping

Sportsman's Guide has the Remington in stock
AMMO Freedom has the Magtech in stock
J&G Sales has the S&B in stock
Fin, Feather and Fur outfitters has the Cor-Bon in stock
and I could go on



This post is a little too late for me. Since the start of this China Virus Crisis (March) I have been getting rid of all my stockpiled 9MM 115s as several of my firearms prefer heaiver projectiles

I have sold off over 5000 rounds of the Winchester 115 JHP plus 4000 rounds of the Winchester 115 FMJ along with about 3500 rounds of the IMI 115 JHP. I really like the IMI 115 JHP, very accurate

I also sold over 4000 rounds of 147 SubSonic since I have switched to the 165 grain subsonic for the supressed 9MMs

All of it went in about 6-8 weeks on Gunbroker.

Plus I cleaned up all the odds and ends in other calibers.

About the only stuff I have left is a full case of the Hornady 303 that I used to shoot in the Bren. That one has not sparked much interest

And of course plenty of 356TSW

Yes they are still made but you have to find them in these crazy times.

The 115 JHP will work for you , since most of the time where you live, most people do not wear heavy clothing.

You might move up to a 124 JHP in the winter months, though, if a sweater is needed? (Grin)

Used to be able to get Hornady American Gunner 115 gr JHP fairly easily but that has also become scarce.

Everything I have likes 120-125gr better than anything else. The 92AF INOX, 1911 Government, and the AR-9 pistol (which eats anything) all perform better with 120-125gr bullets.

..., though he stops short of recommending anything, he hints that he uses a lot of Remington Green and White box 115 gr. ammo in his 9mms a LOT.

It's not my top choice, but in times like these....

Lots of companies still offer 115 grain JHP 9mm loads, it's just the 115 grain bullet has fallen out of favor. These days, the modern 124 to 147 grain JHP bullets are preferred.
