Since I moved all of my books where put in storage. I want to load 130gr cast bullets into 9mm brass for my revolver. Trying to remember if 2.3 grs of titegroup is right? Can someone check this out for me - PLEASE.

Hey Bullseye!

That load sounds awfully light to me.

The only manual I have that shows Titegroup used in 9mm Luger is the Hodgdon Number 27. It lists 4.1 grains starting load and goes to 4.4 grains maximum using the 124 grain FMJ bullet. If you extrapolate a bit, you can see that your charge of 2.3 grains is WAY too low for a 130 grain lead bullet.

I checked my Lyman #48 and found a couple of cast loads using Titegroup as follows:

125 gr cast
Start 2.9 gr @ 1002 fps
26,800 CUP

Maximum 3.3 gr @ 1082 fps
29,500 CUP

They also list a 120 gr cast load starting at 3.3 gr and maxing out at 3.7.

I hope that helps,

Frank

I guess I had it turned around and it was 3.2 that I was looking for. Thanks Guys for the help
