9mm powder....Best on my list

9mm powder

Since I can no longer find 231 reliably I have switched over to Titegroup and it's working really good......Mike

For the last fifty years or so Bullseye has been my target powder with some Unique thrown in for pistol caliber rifle loads. When I ran out of those I was able to get only TiteGroup. It has worked out so well it is now my go to powder. Having only the one powder is really nice.

In 9mm? Are you serious?

Yes, fairly common occurrence in USPSA Open division. Some other Open guys use a lighter bullet (115) and go much faster (~1500) to meet the 165 power factor but most of those guys use jacketed. (RMR suggests a 1500fps limit on their match bullets) Very little recoil due to the compensator.

I have a buddy that shoots high-end 9 major with loads he will not identify to me other than "1400 plus" territory. This is just not my end of the scale in any case.

Ok Bkreutz you have got me interested I have a new Carver Custons 3 port comp on mt M&P ProL 9mm that I need to feed.

The 3 port was designed for minor PF loads. I've never used one. I've been using a 4 port for this past year and it took a bit of experimenting to get the load to work the comp correctly. I couldn't get the 4 port to work reliably on minor PF loads (even with a 10# recoil spring) I've got another comp (different design) that I'm trying to decide if I want to change for this coming season. Got some medical things going on at the moment, so I'm not doing any experimenting until that gets resolved.
