9mm revolvers are to scarce and expensive to make them practical. S&W should introduce an inexpensive concealed carry revolver option in 9mm. There should also be full sized frame 5-8 shot for target practice at the range and home defense. If 22 revolvers are still in production, 9mm should be also. The less expensive highly effective ammo should be reimplemented into the revolver platform.

I agree fully 9mm is such a nice SD round and a great plinking round. I really don't understand why more manufactures don't produce revolvers for it. Personally I would love to have a 9mm revolver but the last one I seen was a Ruger SP101 that was 950 dollars used.

S&W definitely should bring back the J frame 9MM in snub nose and 5 inch. The 5 inch would make a nice trail/plinking/small game piece. For a real pipe dream, I wish for an 8 shot L frame 9MM with a 4 inch tube:eek:

I would love to see the 547 come back in both the three and four inch models. I’m curious if it were made on an L frame if it could be rated for +P+ use. I know that is a gray area as there isn’t a set SAAMI standard for that but if the L can handle .357 magnum all day long then I bet it would handle hot 9mm the same.

I would make it even easier for S&W. Just make an eight shot 627 with 9 x 19 chambers and a 355 diameter barrel. I don't understand why that would be difficult.

Contact TK Custom Welcome to TK Custom.com & Moonclips.com he can convert your 38 revolver to a 9mm moonclip gun, he supplies the clips too.

I had a Mod 15 converted (just send the cylinder) and have been very happy with it.

I got mine some time ago and some of the clips were a bit loose, but they are fine for the range and plinking.

NB

Another option is a Ruger Security/Service Six. They were made in 9mm on limited production. They will command a higher price but will be less expense than a S&W.
Good luck,
Howard
