I'll restate my thoughts one more time, the demand for the Shield on introduction was unprecedented in my experieince, then along comes a tragedy that galvanizes the Gun Control Lobby like no other.
Result, just about any and everything of note is off the shelves and backordered and/or hard to obtain.
I was waiting to order a Shield until the hype and initial surge came down but that never happened. When the California version was introduced, I ordered one for my wife. I don't have any idea when she will get it.
So, do I rant at S&W? What for?
It seems that today, some indivduals want everything exactly when they want it and when delays ocur, they take out thier frustrations on Forums with Posts which are called "Rants". I have no idea of the management structure, product planning and manufacturing at S&W and I'm sure none of the 'Ranters' do either.
I have had a SIG Nightmare Carry in 357 SIG on order shortly after the Shot Show introduction in 2012. SIG's new models were met with unprecedented Interest and some such as the P224 are just being delivered at this time.
You can Rant all you want and you won't change a thing,
Purchase something else if it will make you feel better but don't expect any sympathy from me for what it is a myopic viewpoint.-Dick
