I finally took my new Shield for a test drive at the local range yesterday and I must say, I'm genuinely impressed.
It has far less muzzle flip than I expected from a gun so small and is VERY comfortable to shoot. Using the 7 round mag does throw my aim off a bit though, because my pinky dangles and it makes me feel like I don't have a good grip on the gun.
I'm hoping I can eventually find another 8 round mag for a decent price.

most people want the 7 rd. mag for carry so there are plenty of 8 rd out there. i just payed 34.00 for an extra 7 rd. at LGS and he had a ton of 8's
also got an extra 6 rd for my forty love both my shields

Congrats. I shoot the 7 rounder well. Much better concealed too.

7 round takes getting used to, but I think I'm there after about 750 rounds.

I just got the pinky extension for the magazine and now I like it better than the +1magazine for my .40Shield.

What company makes this pinky extension?
The truth is, most Shield owners find the pinky extension from Pearce Grips is the preferred one. It's very comfortable, a perfect fit.
It doesn't change the round count so therefore does not compromise reliability.
It look and feels like a stock part.

NDZ doesn't change the round count either.....easy install.

True but many have complained about it's sharp edges and aluminum.
Everyone who got the Pearce Grips extension absolutely loves it. It's polymer just like your frame. No movement at all and fits/feels perfect.

Just FYI, that NDZ site sells a Pearce polymer extension and it's the least expensive of the 3 they offer.
It's $1 more than the Pearce web site sells it for but, the shipping is $1.75 less so basically, $0.75 cheaper.

just looked on the Pearce site, they want $6 shipping for it.

Amazon has it for $11.50 shipped free with prime (2 day) and there are amazon marketplace sellers offering it for free ship and under $10.

NDZ has it for $11 and wants $4.25 to ship it. (or buy 2 and ship free) So just depends on how fast you want it and how much you want to shave off the price.
