I am looking for a magazine loader for the single stack 7/8 round magazines that came with my Shield. All the ones I come across say they do not work with this particular single stack magazine. Anyone find something that works?

I got an Uplula, and it works just fine. There are different sizes IIRC, but it's fairly easy to find the one that will work for the Shield "staggered" mags.... almost single stack but not really from what I can tell ...

Another praise for the Uplula. It'll work on single, staggered, and double stack magazines. It just needs a bit of balancing for the less wide ones. I use it on magazines for the Shield, M&P 9c, and 4500 series.

I use the Uplula for my shield and Glock 19. Handles both perfectly. I cannot fully load a magazine without it. New mags cam be quite stiff.

I use my thumbs.

At first I found them hard to load but once you get the hang of pushing down the bullets as you slide in the next one it works quite easily.

That being said I have used the Glock double stack loader to load them at first but now don't need anything but my own thumbs.

I use the same method loading the 15 or 17 rounds for my Glock.

I also vote for the UpLula (Universal Pistol Maglula). It's great for breaking in new mags.
Works on Single and Double-Stack mags, .380 to .45.
I've used it on my P38, P64, PF-9, Shield, Glocks, XD/XDM, and more.

The eight rounders are really easy to load, at least mine are. I've been tempted to try to get a ninth round in there actually. That being said, I did order an Uplula. Using a loader is quicker.

I am with everyone else, uplula. Love mine and my dad will get betting one for his birthday.

There are others out there, some are cheaper, but really the uplula is worth it. Just buy one, once, and you are set.

Has anyone mentioned the Uplula yet? LOL

It is nice.

I can load the mags with my hands, and have done so for years. But why should I when I can load them easy peasey with the uplula. Totally worth every penny!

Why I'm putting this cause it's been said in here "I Think" :p

I just got my UpLULA in the mail today ... WOW

Ya anyone who "doesn't" use this and loads manually I will laugh at ... and I thought I may get laughed at for using one .. Ya this is so damn easy I could do it blind now with no finger or hand fatigue AT ALL, no reason Everyone doesn't own one.

Attached pic of packaging ... says it's one size fits all and works on single and double stack mags from all manufacturers.

Get the UpLULA ... $28 on Amazon

Just AWESOME! Get one and be done (hell get two just in case I'm going to)

Uplula works for most anything .380 and up. Maybe even .32, but don't know can't say. I don't leave home without it....when going to the range or match.

It is good to load by hand on a regular basis just to be familiar and able in any situation. But for regular use, the Uplula is great, especially for those of us with arthritis.

I need to get one. Was serious if it worked with a Shield. Now I know the answer. Thanks, guys!

Here's my mag loader...
