Greetings, all:

I'd like to see Smith make a five-shot L-frame in 10 mm on the same lines as the 696. I'd think the smaller bore of the "Ten" would alleviate the 696's problems with the thin forcing cone and allow the use of full-power 10 mm loads. Such a gun would make a neat little carry rig, either in town or in the hills, and could also use .40 S&W for light practice loads.

What say ye?

Thanks, and Semper Fi.

That sounds like a good concept if the gun would handle the pressure of the 10 mm round. Since the L Frame stands up to 357 Magnums very well, a 10 may be possible. I assume you're talking about using full moon clips.

Great idea. But I need to KNOW before I go after the new 10mm NightGuard.

Sounds great to me. The way I look at it the more new 10mm pistols available the better. Plus it would be an excuse to get another 10mm.
