The Model 15 with the 2" barrel is a fine little revolver and highly thought of by those of us who love the Combat Masterpiece generally.

The picture shows an interesting combination. If this is actually a Model 15-4, as your title suggests, the stocks are older than the gun. The -4 wasn't released until 1977, and PC diamond stocks were phased out by about 1967 (Change Order #937, issued on October 11, 1965). Hence, the stocks are a bonus on an already below-market purchase price. Congrats.

At my department we had an older officer who was about 5'4" with hands that were nearly 3 times the size of mine. (I was 6' and 190 lbs.) He used to talk about his Smith and Western stub nose. His nickname was Poppa Smurf.

I haven’t heard of such a deal in a couple decades! Great gun and unbelievable price

I'm not current on prices, but your purchase is worth a lot more than twice what you paid. Probably about three times.......
That's what I was thinking, too. I know that ANY older Smith snubbie, is going to be over $500 on my favorite statewide classified site, and a M15, especially with nice stocks, would probably be, as you said, about triple what the OP paid. So yeah, smokin' deal !!

My Model 15 snub is one of my favorite guns. It’s very easy to shoot well even with the short barrel. And I much prefer the square butt. Congratulations on a great gun and deal!

That's about half price, probably better. I have one, interesting piece. Always wondered why Smith never did these with a round butt.
