SWEeeeeeet........ some bull-eye shooters got their hands on my W. German 220 more than one were shooting "cloverleafs". Several offers to buy it...... no way..... I had something to aspire to!!!!!!!

What a blind squirrel usually finds is a hungry hawk, owl, or fox. You fared a little better...
Nice shooting. Most targets posted on gun boards are an embarrassment to the shooter. I'd be ashamed to post such targets. You showed what the gun and ammo can do in skilled hands.
BTW, which ammo did you fire?

Handloaded on a Dillon 550B, 8 years ago, FMJ 230 gr. hardball, Win primers, with 4.8 grains of Titegroup, and shot last weekend!

Thanks. Just curious. I used to have a Colt Gold Cup that'd shoot astounding groups with Federal's 230 grain Match ammo.
That's the most accurate factory ammo I've found in .45 ACP, at least in my guns. But some others were pretty close.

Back in the 80's, Uncle Sugar surplused some WW match made for the US Army. 230 gr FMJ in 50 round boxes labled "Match".
OMG! that stuff was uber accurate, even with my then only .45, a skinny sighted WWI M1911!
I had bought 5 boxes from a vendor that had cases and cases of it at a gun show. I shot one box later that week and realized how good the stuff was and called the vendor less than a week after the gun show and he had sold out all he had. I wasn't ever able to find any more.
I did use the 4 boxes in 3 gun matches that year. I did better on pistol in those matches than I ever have!

Corrosive? You said WWII dates...
Elmer Keith seemed to think well of the 1925 NM ammo. I think he got out of any cartridges that he fired whatever good they had to offer.
Is your SIG P-220 the US or Euro model? US version has the mag. release like on a Colt. Euro release is at the butt. I guess they shoot the same, but the American handle sure feels exceptional in my hand, although both are a really good fit.

No, the ammo DOM was headstamped WCC Match 68. I bought it in 88 or so.
Pistol is American style (mag release behind trigger) made in Germany about
10 or 12 years ago. HTH!

The most accurate Sig .45 I ever shot was a P245 that I stupidly sold! I always outshot my buddy's Kimber Custom Model with it. You don't want to know what I shot with his Kimber Custom, nobody would believe me! Guess what I got to replace the P245? A Kimber Custom Model that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn

Yes, I noticed how my groups change with the different angle of the sun on the front blade.
It does it with my 3, 3.5 and 5" barrels, there is no getting away from it.
I just hate to have to shot into the sun in front of me !!
It will shade the left and right side of the front blade, depending
on how you handle the weapon to get your shots off at targets.
With the sun behind me or being under a cover at the range is the best for tight groups, for me.
