The Boys of '67: Charlie Company's War in Vietnam By Dr.Andrew Wiest
As a Vet who was not in Viet Nam in 1967 I am hesitant to speak about this telling of Charlie Company's experience. And I do not lightly give such a strong endorsement. Yet I humbly and whole hardheartedly recommend this story to you.
It is the telling, complete with their training as a unit, all the way from draft notice to their healing decades later, still a cohesive unit. In Country they would be a part of The 9th Infantry Division Mobile Riverine Force.
Yet I strongly suspect that this is a book many Vets need to read to help with the healing. It is just as important a book for all those who had family or friends who endured the war. I have a brother who was in country in 67. So it has helped me understand
