When I started the business 44 years ago I was mainly interested in trying to generate a few extra dollars to keep my house payments current, keep the bills paid, and feed my kids.
By the time I was ready to retire I had come to view the business as a creation in itself, much like a child born or adopted and raised to maturity. I had attended to the needs of the business 7 days per week for years and years. While I recognized the time had come for me to retire, I did not want to see what I had created and nurtured to wither and die.
Along came the Fedders family. Mark and Alethea, Adam, Matt, Luke, Grace, Emma, Naomi, Anna, and most recently Talia. They have taken in Lobo Gun Leather to their family home, and as this post shows they continue to develop and nurture the business beyond anything I was capable of doing.
I am well pleased.
