Made by forum member schofieldkid81. Checkering at 20 LPI with pre-war medallions.

A couple of 1950's Pre model 27's. The top is a 1958 factory Nickel with honey colored Ivories. Bottom, just a plain old blue. It has Ken Driscoll Stags now.

Why would anyone want the shiney nickel guns?

Better send them to me. The world famous nickel finish rocks even the Russian Zar's son knew that in the late 1800's.

FYI, there are less and less s&w guns being offered in nickel. If your collection doesn't have any nickel guns in it there's a big gap in your collection.

Kris, great pair of nickel N frames! I have a couple of my own from the mid 50's. The top gun is a nickel .357 Magnum with an 8 3/8" barrel. the bottom gun is a .44 hand ejector model of 1950. Only a handful known in nickel.
