My Snubbie DW is a Real Target Gun..
If I had to shoot a snubbie Match I'd pick this probobly even over my 3" CS-1/686..
This little revolver can shoot!!
Crappy Pic but I need a new Camera Badly!!
Also I note that your 715-2 has four slots in it's barrel nut, were all the others I've ever seen only have two for the tool..Rare??
It's not a realy early gun as the trigger overtravel stop would be in the hammer..

After many years of looking I finally found the DW I was looking for... It's a .22 in bright blue with the full underlug solid rib barrel. Came with Combat grips, red ramp front sight, multi tool and both 4 and 6" barels...98% condition..$275.00 OTD... And what was odd was right next to it was a 8" in a lot more "used" condition with only one barrel and Pachmayer grips for $295.00...

Will try and post a picture when I get home... Has been a great shooter so far.

My 722 VH8 currently at DW for new LR cylinder and making old cylinder into 22 magnum, and I have the 6" barrel and shroud. The scope is gone and I have a Millet red dot now. The grips are now walnut for looks and Pachmyr for shooting on both guns.

My DW 15-2 that is almost new in 98%+ condition.

I can hit an 8" cinder block at 100 yards about 5 out of 6 times.

My latest DW...a decent stainless "kit".

Only the most rear DW remains...the other two have found new owners.

Wow Vonfatman, that is a very cool kit. Where can you find those and about how much do they run? I wish s&w made one of those kits.

OLD NAVY...is this correct...your DW is at DW having the cylinder rebored to .22 Magnum??? I didn't think that DW even existed anymore except the semis now owned by CZ...

My question would be is where can one find an extra cylinder to BE rebored so as to be able to shoot both.

Just call 607-336-1174 and tell them what you need, some parts have to be sent to FFL such as the Cylinder. However a new barrel or shroud you can buy direct.

My cylinder chamber holes were .001 inch too large for what ever reason causing cases to stick when fired. I suspect it was either damaged by PO trying to over clean with brush and hand drill. I have a friend who shoots a S&W and cleans it only when too dirty to shoot. Anyway Keith was going to try to salvage the cylinder by boring to magnum if possible. That would give me a cheap magnum cylinder and then I would also buy a new Long Rifle cylinder and have installed and timed, some new springs and a shim and only be out the expense of one cylinder ($180 IIRC) the springs and shims installed for $285, plus what ever the cost of boring the LR cylinder out to magnum. I would guess the boring the cylinder if successful will be $100 or there abouts. But dang what a pistol you would have then, better then my S&W M48 with LR cylinder.

I am not sure what just sending a 722 in and having a magnum cylinder done would cost, but a guess would be close to $350 to $400 parts and labor. What makes it so expensive is the work is all custom and requires the cylinder to be timed so as to line up and fire properly.

chevypilot,
I got this one at local dealer. I see them on GunBroker all the time. I suspect you will pay $600-800 if you are patient. I have a blue set and the stainless set you see. Hard not to love a DW.

Here are a couple more shots.

pb,
If you were any kind of contributor...you'd yank the other two SuperMags out and take some more pics!

You don't see any others in this post do you?

You shouldn't hold out on us like this!!

Bob, Tummy full of turkey makes me lazy.

The others have 8" barrels and are harder to take good pics of.

With that logic there would only be Japanese porn.

I love my Monson 44mag DW...2 6 inch tubes and 2 8 inch tubes with 1 barrel shroud in 6 in and 1 shroud in 8 in.

Took a photo recently of my DW 15 w/12" tube. Had a number of different barrel sizes but only have this and a 6" now. Feels like firing a .22 LR when triggering off a .357. No recoil to speak of. Very accurate gun, single action superb, double action the pits. Had this since '79.

Circa '79 model 15. Tried a couple of times to get a DOB on this but the manufacturer's records are too fubar'd.

My 15-2 opened up for proper cleaning, takes just about 2 minutes and another 3 to remove the internals and break down the cylinder, then you can give everything a good cleaning and oiling.

Sure wish S&W were made like this, it would make life for us so much easier.
