A Different Take On Fast Food

Culvers. Message was too short, so I'll say it again. Culvers.

Culvers is a mid-west thing. Here in PA, no such thing. When I ate there for the first time visiting in-laws in Wisconsin, it was one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had at a fast food joint. good stuff.

Oh great! Less human contact AND fewer jobs, just what our society needs!

The McD's are just a few years from being straight out of the Jetsons. The technology is available, but how quickly will the public accept it. You notice that the price is not going down, but their costs are. Not to drift the thread, but if you have flown American recently, you now have to place the luggage tag on it yourself and the agents will not lift it onto the scale, you must do it. Seems like small items, but before you know it they will have you loading it on the plane yourself ! It is just a way to shift the work to the consumer and act like it is an improvement. Gas companies did it years ago.

There is no flipping burgers at McD's. The grills have a power lid that lowers to the right height for which patty is being cooked. The grill surface is marked so the kids know where to spot the patty. Every cooking chore in a McD's is computer or electronically controlled so there are few chances of error. The taste is probably the same Nationwide because all the buns, meat, and fish, and all the sauces are made to McD's exacting standards. Five Guys here are a joke, just mostly greasy garbage. BK was discussed earlier, and I concur. We have Fat Burger here and they are horrible. Can never get one cooked medium or less. Always gray all the way. Wendy's is acceptable as long as I have a frosty with it. Smashburger it the best around here. Really like the mushroom swiss. In My neck of the woods I mostly go to Benders Brat Haus. Absoultly great.

It's one of the best around here, as well.
Funny how people can't seem to tell, or don't care when their patties aren't made out of real beef.

I do construction remodeling work for several restaurant chains and see a lot of kitchens and I will never eat at a Churches Chicken. Cracker Barrel is not impressive either but I will say that Raising Cains Chicken has far and away the cleanest kitchens and better than most of the full service, more expensive restaurants.
