A few words regarding a transaction with gatorfarmer

I purchased some items from Gator a while back but I was involved with some last minute stuff that had to be done before I drove up to NY.

The package arrived in a timely manner but I didn't bother opening it until a few hours before I left for the ride up. I felt that I had known Gator well enough to trust him and didn't need to inspect the items because I was sure everything would be satisfactory.

I planned on using the items on my drive to NY, and when I opened the box a few hours before I left I discovered the not only were the items satisfactory they exceeded my expectations.

Gator sent me an email recently inquiring as to whether i was satisfied with the transaction but I didn't get around to reading it till a short time ago because I wasn't able to get on line while I was in NY. One on my mother's neighbors has wireless service but they don't always leave it turned on so I left my computer turned on in the hope I would catch a signal, but most of the time I would have to carry the laptop to a different part of the house to try to pick up a different neighbors signal and hold the laptop near a window to catch a signal. When you have to stand up holding your laptop in one hand while typing with the other it tends to cut down on the time you spend on the net. When I got home and was able to get on the net I felt like poop from a cold/sore throat and wasn't in the mood to read email till today.

So instead of answering him in a private email I decided to take this opportunity to not just tell Gator that the items were satisfactory, I also want to let other forum members know that based on my dealing with him and the fact the items exceeded my expectations I would trust him in any future dealings.

There is a section for that. It’s titled “Feed Back”.

The item was not purchased through the classified section, therefore I did not feel it was appropriate to post feedback in the classified section for something that was never posted as an item in the classified section

Wherever it is appropriate...I second silvercorvette's opinion on dealing with Gatorfarmer. He is a very fair and honest guy.

A lot of people in the lounge never visit the classifieds so I wanted to make sure more people see my post

Let me add another big +1 for Gatorfarmer, had a deal with him awhile back and he is top notch.

Hardly surprising re: GF.

GF and I regularly (but not always!) disagree philosophically yet I would be pleased knowing he had my 6 in any situation. Most importantly, I know he would.

Be safe.

There are some issues I disagree with him on but I feel the same as you do about trusting him with my 6

The forum wouldn't be the same without Gatorfarmer, that's for sure, and I mean that in a good way.

Chris is good people, and he wrote and published a book that is a good read with lots of guns and animated corpses (they are not called zombies in the book), "The Graunch Solution".

Good thought. Trust and agreement are two entirely different things. I disagree frequently with my wife but I trust her completely.

I have met him a number of times and consider him a friend. He is a fairly quite and reserved type face to face...except for the multiple weapons and body armor and APC in the driveway, one might take him for a pacifist...
