A First for Me Today: Fired a Glock

I must have the hand that Gaston designed for. Perhaps it's because I was a revolver shooter first, but the Glock points naturally for me, whereas my Browning High Power points low. The grip is just right to really wedge in my hand with pressure on the front and back straps really locking it in place. I can raise the pistol one-handed with my eyes closed, open them and there are both sights. I'm cheating a little, because my six-inch 17L has a better balance (for me). The trigger took a little getting used to, but a lot of dry-firing later, I find it very easy to use. Mine has never jammed.

I shoot Glocks since 1996. All of my Glocks are very reliable and accurate. I have a Glock 17 with a Vanek trigger and LWD barrel that is as accurate as my SIG P210-6, off-hand and from a sandbag. The Glock is a much better suited when it comes to shoot fast than the P210 and not just because of the mag capacity. I can live with the fact that they lack the charisma of my Korths.

"I don't know why so many people say that Glock is the only gun that will "go bang every time"."

Because I have had many guns that do not go "Bang" every time I pull the trigger. I'm not saying Glocks are the "only" gun that goes bang every time..but in my own personal experience,it is one of only two manufacturers I can say that about.(Beretta is the other) A stock Glock is 100% confidence inspiring when it comes time to pull the trigger; BANG!
The list of "no bang" guns is much too long to type here, and includes a lot of S&W centerfire autoloaders...so that is why I say my Glocks go BANG ever time I pull the trigger.

It is from personal experience from over 45 years of live fire with many weapons.

It occurred to me several months ago concerning Glock triggers
Take up slack, followed by mushy trigger press
Just like a M-1 or M-14 trigger
No problem for me

I own four Glocks and all have been utterly reliable. Otherwise I wouldn't have kept buying them. Same with my S&W's. I find it very odd that someone would claim to have owned four and five Glocks, but then declare them unreliable junk. Why in the world would you keep buying them if they didn't work?

Because people are fashion victims 99.9% of the time. On all accounts....
