I added this to the man cave today.

Guy on Ebay was selling them, apparently he had a bunch, brand new.

I always wanted one but didn't want to steal one off on old Federal building.

It fits since this is where I go to avoid the fallout of a disagreement.

I dubbed my man cave as my, 'FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE". For years I had to clean and maintain all my hunting/guns, fishing and camping stuff in the garage. Freezing in winter and sweltering in summer and always fighting mosquitos for most of the year.

When the youngest flew the coop I grabbed his room before Miss Pam could get it and made it my own.

I made my move just in time too. She already had a craft/hobby room and was planning to use the newly opened up room for more of the same.

She squawked when I told her but I pointed out that we had what we had because of what I did. Currently I was allowed 1 chair at the dining room table, one chair in the living room, 1/2 of a king size bed and one half of a two car garage. I mean to turn that room into a place where I can get out of the bugs and weather and have a little music and comfort while taking care of MY stuff.

She not only relented but actually helped me paint and made-ready my long overdue, desperately needed, FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE.

I have an actual fallout shelter.

Even as a 2nd grader at PS39 on Staten Island, I knew that if the Soviets detonated a nuke over lower Manhattan that the school desk that I was ducking under wouldn't do any good.

Rusty, that one is too new. The ones we "ducked" and "covered" under had the wrought iron sides, were bolted to the floor, and had an ink well.

I know how that works I did the same when the kids moved out. She calls it my gun room. She would rather it be something else but does not say anything about it.

Florida like Texas is just to hot much of the time to enjoy reloading or messing with anything outside in the heat or at night with the bugs.
