A foot of snow coming in North Carolina?????

Call us southern folks in August/September when you guys are laid out with high temps in the 80s/90s and sitting under the fire hydrants!

Snow on the coast in NC is unusual but the good thing is you take the sled to the beach on Wednesday then go back Saturday with the beach towel. Saturday is 57 and sunny.

Southern snow is not like those people in the 1880's that came and stayed...southern snow comes and goes home! :)

The greatest inclination of the amount of frozen precipiation expected from cumulonimbus clouds at low temperature is in direct proportion of the amout of baked grain products and bovine mamary gland secretions sold at retail.

:p

A foot of snow possible in North Carolina????? Just heard that on the Today Show weather segment.

Up here, we call that a "dusting". :D

Y'all know how to drive in the snow and ice better than we do and that is the reason we never see on the news that there are wrecks and pileups in the winter. Larry

We are on the coast of southeastern Virginia and we are the place that doesn't get snow when the rest of the state does. Looks like this time we are in the bullseye...BUT, we'll take a blizzard over a hurricane or nor'easter. So, we have groceries and gas and power(hopefully it will stay on) and can retreat to the RV with two full bottles of propane if needed...So, let it snow!

Never thought of that, an RV would really come in handy during a power shortage.

Global Warming??

I hope the polar bears and penqins have plenty ice. We as humans can manage. Need snow shovels anyone? Got hot chocolate?

When it's 30 degrees here after the cold weather last week that's tanning weather now. Heck 30 is a heat wave.

It was -9 this morning (That's nine below zero. As in lacking a handful of something to in order to make it nothing.) and Luscious had a Dr's appointment. She put on two layers of clothes, her heavy full length parka, boots, gloves, the whole nine. I went out first and warmed up the car. When she got in the car and closed the door, it started dinging her because she hadn't buckled her seatbelt.

She squirmed and tried to turn around and with all the clothes on, couldn't reach the belt. She stopped and started yelling back at the car:

"Shut up! I can't move, I. Can. Not. Move!"

I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes.:D

My Birds aren't complaining at least not to me, but they sure have been "mobbing " the feeder.
