I went to the range today and was zeroing my 15-22 @ 100 yards when a group of young people came over from the Pistol side of the range to fire their ar-15's and one young lady said she didn't understand why their ar-15 are so much louder then mine. I told her its because its a 22LR not a 5.56 that's the other rifle beside me. ( I was shooting both today) and she said but it looks like theirs.I did let her look at it and see the difference :D

thought I would share that one unfortunately my range time got cut short had to pick daughter up and take her to her moms house but I was still in a great mood over that one.:D

Did you let her send a few rounds down range? It is always good to teach someone something new at the range.

I didn't have time or I would have I was about to wrap up and get my daughter, but talking to the guys when I was wrapping up. They are converting to the 22. after seeing how well mine shot and the price difference in ammo lol.

Sounds like a good time at the range!

Every time I bring my 15-22 to the range, someone always asks to see it. Makes me wish S&W had a referral bonus point system. Someone buys a S&W firearm, pops in your referral code in the warranty registration process, and the referrer gets points that can be used to buy mags or something.

JaPes, that's a big 10-4, If I had point for everyone that held and shot my M&P on the range, I could buy another M&P.. When I'm at the PD Range, I unload all my ARs on a table the M&P is next to the other 5.56 and everyone things it just another 5.56, until they pick it up and see the mags are different, then the POINTS start plying up..

S&W, come on, create a link and let sign up and get a code to give out, by word of mouth and free advertisement, you can't looose...

I shoot with a lot of different people on a weekly basis. I think of it as therapy. Mostly people i meet on the same jobsite, and every time one of them pics up my M&P 15-22lr they say,"I've gotta get one!" So far, there are 4 new 15-22s to add to the therapy sessions. Out of all the handguns, shotguns and long range rifles that are at these sessions, the 15-22 throws more rounds. Good cheap fun! I had the opportunity to shoot a 338 Lapua last week. That was a kick, but expensive to shoot!

I was at the range with my son yesterday and was trying to hit the gong at 200 yards with my 15-22 in a gusty 15-25 mph wind. Didn't have a lot of success but I managed 3 or 4 out of 10. I was feeling pretty good until my son took out his BB gun and was hitting the target boards out at 50 feet. I was far more proud of that achievement than anything I could hit. I guess it doesn't really matter what you're shooting as long as you're pushing your ability, trying to improve and having fun.

We had a BLAST!
