I have a thing for old Smith & Wessons that show their age by honest service. Such a gun is this .22/32 hand ejector, built on the Bekeart pattern. It left the S&W factory in Springfield on March 19, 1917. Roughly 20,000 of these were made. This one was shipped to the M.W. Robinson company in NYC, a prime distributor for S&W. The rear sight is a bit unusual for this model; I do not know if it was a factory option or an aftermarket part. I have shot it, and it will still put .22 bullets on the target. If only these old guns could talk!

"The only stupid questions are the ones that don't get asked!" I'm not sure of that statment these days John. One that quickly comes to mind is walking into Subway and ordering a "steak and cheese" sub and the sandwich maker asks "do you want cheese on that?" Also try to get some of these kids at fast food to make change correctly if you give them the extra money to get an even amount of change back. Back in my day we weren't dumb we just did dumb stuff sometimes.
