A little over two weeks ago my home was broken into.
Wouldn't have ever known about it if it wasn't for my German Shepherd attacking the intruder. I raised that dog from since he was 4 weeks old, he has never attacked anything. Not another dog, squirrels, nothing. In fact he's such a big sweetheart I was concerned if this situation ever did happen he'd just happily lead them straight to the valuables. Despite his offensive stance he did not stop the intruder.
Sitting in the backroom with one of my best friends we heard noises coming from my dog we'd never heard before. Immediately we knew somethimg wasnt right, and we assumed someone was in the house.
I grabbed the M&P40. He got into the safe to find the Winchester 1300 shotgun. I ran into the living room screaming and yelling like a madman, that's when the catchall kitchen table was flipped in the other room, and left the back door broken in a mad escaped run. We never saw the person, only heard. He had escaped. Probably pissed his pants but he got away. We thought we'd never know who it was and I no longer felt self in my neighborhood.
Last week my coworker was arrested for home invasions. He had only done houses of people he knew, robbed people he called friends blind and it wasn't until his girlfriend found out that he was caught. Not before he beat the **** out of her. She now claims she found pictures of my house, my truck, my girlfriends house, and my girlfriends truck on his phone. The son of a bitch had been stalking my girlfriend. She works nights and lives with her mentally handicapped sister so easy target.
For over a year this piece of trash had rode around in a truck with me. I had often bought him lunch, gave him things he wanted I didn't need, loaned him tools, gave him rides, all while he smiled and pretended to be a "buddy."
Turns out I told him that day I was planning on going out of town.
I don't know why I chose to make this rant hell I've barely posted on this site, probably because I had a M&P to defend myself with, just happened to be looking a stippling jobs and am still pissed but the moral is don't trust anyone with anything concerning your whereabouts, personal info or your loved ones at all because who knows what could've happened to those two outstanding women, or my awesome dog, or my best friend, or least important all that cap in my house I've worked my butt off to own.
